Sometime in this last week. I was talking with my five year old. I had mentioned my crock pot in a conversation and he wanted to know what that was. I was surprised he did not know what a crock pot was. But as I thought about it, I really have not used my crock pot in a long time.

I did my best to explain what a crock pot is to my five year old. “A pot that you plug in, it cooks food automatically, without a stove. It cooks the food slowly, so you can set up the food and go do other things.”

Even as a five yer old my son immediately saw the benefits of using a thing such as a Crock Pot. He commented something like, “It cooks for you while you play?” Followed by “you should use that crock pot again sometime soon!”

I pondered on his five year old wisdom. “You should use that crock pot again sometime soon.” Yes, I agreed with him, I should. Especially right now while things are so hectic, a crock pot could really be just the thing.

What do you know, but then this link comes across my facebook feed.
